Welcome and thank you for stopping by my website! After over a decade in the travel industry, I realized that I want to be a jewelry designer, so with the support of my husband, I quit my job and went to school. I'm now renting studio space in Portland, OR and I love it!
When I started making jewelry, I bought most of the metal pieces (earring hooks, clasps, decoration, etc.). My jewelry has evolved over this last year; I am proud to hand-forge many of the metal pieces. This means that I start with Silver shot, melt it down with a hand-torch and crucible (melting point is around 1600 degrees!), shape, file and form it into the desired piece. And then I file and polish some more. It's a lengthy process, but it's one that I enjoy and it provides me with such satisfaction. I hope you like it, too!
